Gender Representation Study for the Polymer, MedTech and Connected Health Sectors

First Polymer Training Skillnet, Irish MedTech Skillnet and Connected Health Skillnet have partnered with Xenon Health Solutions to undertake an important research project to increase female representation in technical and leadership roles across the polymer, medtech and connected health sectors.

Supporting and growing a more diverse workforce within the our sectors is a core priority for the Irish industry.  The study will look at the main challenges associated with achieving a gender-balanced workforce, and how to effectively identify the key barriers and enablers to achieving gender parity in the industry with a key focus on the level of female progression, and the type of career supports that are available to women in the HealthTech sector.

As we enter a critical stage in the research, we are seeking the support of the sector through an industry wide survey and focus groups. We invite those working within the polymer, medtech or connected health space to complete the (anonymous) survey (at the link below) which is designed to collect important information pertaining to this topic. The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.

The survey will remain open until Friday 02 June 2023. Please share the link with your networks to encourage as much participation as possible. If you have any questions about this research study or the survey, contact Catherine Collins (catherine.collins@ibec.ie) or Dr Liz Tully (liztully@xenonhealthsolutions.com).
