Polymer Apprenticeship – Intake 2 September 2017

Please see details below (and attached) of the upcoming Apprenticeship in Polymer Processing Technology (Level 7) which will be commencing in September of this year. The programme has been received extremely well by industry with the first intake of apprentices started in May 2017. The second intake will commence in September with a limited number of places still available. Please see some key information regarding the apprenticeship below:  
• It is a 3-year programme with the apprentice graduating with a B.Sc. in Polymer Processing Technology (Apprenticeship)(Level 7) from Athlone Institute of Technology
• The apprentice will spend 15 weeks/year in academia and will spend the remainder of the year with their company
• The apprentice will specialise in either Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding or Extrusion, in line with their companies field of expertise

This programme was specifically designed by industry to meet the ever-growing skills shortage we now face so it is something all polymer companies should get involved into ensure its viability going forward.
