Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Design and Write basic PLC programs and generate SCADA HMi graphics for industrial applications
- Trouble Shoot Electrical hardware & software whilst using PLCs or SCADA HMI graphics
- Involve participants in workshops, designed to develop their own applications and advance their Electrical, PLC’s and HMi skills
In addition, participants will:
- Understand that the Production Machine including ROBOT is not functional as the Safety Interlocks are not healthy
- Be able to fault find around the Safety Relay & Light Curtain
- Be able to intercept the LOGO PLC Code
- Understand that every Production Machine incorporates Safety Interlocking Circuits. And that the ROBOT is not moving because the Production Machine is being held out by the Machine Interlocks.
Who Is This Course For
This hands-on 3 day programme is designed as an introduction for any personnel that wish to advance their careers in to the world of Industrial Automation. It is suitable for Process Technicians/Engineers/Production Shift Supervisors and any technical personnel who wish to gain a good practical knowledge of the area.
Course Pre-requisites
- The course has been designed as step 2 within our Automation Pathway. We would highly recommend completing step 1 in the pathway – our Maintenance Electrical course prior to completing this programme (however this is not a requirement).
- No prior knowledge of PLCs or HMI’s is required. This is a beginners course and all are welcome. The course assumes that participants are able to operate a keyboard and have PC computer skills.
