First Polymer Training Skillnet Hosts Skillnet Ireland Regional Roadshow in the Midlands

October 03rd, 2025

First Polymer Training Skillnet was proud to host Skillnet Ireland’s Regional Roadshow on Workforce Development last week at our training centre in Athlone. The event brought together business leaders, government representatives, and training partners to explore how upskilling is shaping the future of Irish enterprise.

We were honoured to welcome Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD, and Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Marian Harkin TD, who highlighted the Government’s commitment to talent development and the vital role skills play in economic growth.

The event featured engaging discussions, industry insights, and real-world examples of how businesses are addressing talent challenges through collaboration and training. It was a valuable opportunity to connect, learn, and reaffirm our shared commitment to workforce development.

A sincere thank you to Skillnet Ireland, our guest speakers, and all attendees who helped make the day a success. We're proud to support Ireland’s national upskilling agenda and continue driving impact here in the Midlands.
